Description

This building, made of cob (fashioned from subsoil clay, sand and straw) and faced with Cornish granite, was erected either by Imery's or the council. I have no idea which, but power to whichever one it was. When put up the wonderfully (almost a metre) thick walls completely enveloped the structure, leaving only a small opening to enter and atop the walls were perspex windows, which kept at bay the worst of the wind, which does tend to roar high up throughout the Clay pit area. The roof was lagged with cob then membrane and to top it all off, some lovely grass seed was sown. The structure stood proud, beautiful and a very welcome addition to that area for all of 3 weeks. Then came those that, as far as I am concerned, are a complete waste of oxygen. Contrary to what others might say, these are not animals, beasts, monsters or any other descriptive word used frequently when faced with such wanton destruction. These are very human, I'm ashamed to say, albeit with less brain than the fossil of the first amoeba which was as absolute mastermind in comparison! I find the entire thing sad in the extreme. Someone please reassure me these - what did Andrea call them? P****s - are not our future! In the distance (just to lighten the mood), is the beautiful Atlantic, around 2 miles away as the crow flies. On the good front, Susan (Blush) is cancer free!! Go girl! Thank you for taking the time to look. ^=^

It is a sad indication of our "modern" society that we have lost so much respect for everything around us (some of us have not i am glad to say !!). Look at todays children and how little they know or care, some don't even know what a cow is. I have children and they have both been brought up to respect and awe nature. Amd more importantly to respect themselves and others. Shame others are not inclined to do the same. great shot by the way.
