Description
When you photograph people in colour you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in black and white, you photograph their souls. —Ted Grant A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety. —Ansel AdamsThis month I decided to do something a little different with the Curtain Call. Rather than a set of out-takes from the work of the past weeks I chose to bring together a mix of my black and white portraits. I have shared with you, from the first image in this gallery, that my interest in 3D was a continuation of my creative explorations in Photography. I adore the human face and I use Poser as I would a camera to express that adoration. I don't believe I have come closer to reflecting photography in 3D as when I work in black and white. I am curious whether you agree with this conclusion. The full size originals of the images above are all within this gallery. They are, from left to right: [] Sylvia in Black and White [ View ] [] Peering Out of the Shadows [ View ] [] A Sadness All Her Own [ View ] [] Digging Through the Archives [ View ] [] Narika in Black and White [ View ] Some very happy congratulations are due to Mark ( Wysiwig ) on being nominated for Artist of the Month in the Writer's gallery. Whoever your favorite writer is, voting is open for another few hours still. & May you be creating something wonderful on this day .. worthy of your own future AOM nomination! With warmest regards, Terry The images below will take you to a few Curtain Calls of the Past.August 2009 Curtain Call December 2009 Curtain Call June 2010 Curtain Call Inspiration of Spartacus

Oh these are superb! The lack of colour has really allowed your models to shine and has given them an eerie realism that you don't normally see in 3D. I believe these are some of your most powerful portraits - simply stunning!

Vashek: "And I love your new Amadeus avatar! At least I assume it's Amadeus from Milos Forman's amazing movie..." Yes, the avatar is Mozart from Miloš' wondrous cinematic telling. His creative spirit and immersion in existence has always been an inspiration for me ... and his music has thrilled my ears since childhood. With warmth, Terry
