Description
...cockpit of one of the most dreaded German Luftwaffe fighters of World War II,...the Messerschmidtt Bf 109E-3. This workhorse used a powerful engine married to the smallest possible airframe for maximum performance.
...a very tight fit for one pilot wearing a parachute. (Will post a picture of the pilot next)
...tall, heavyset men need not apply:)
Have never been able to get this instrument panel sharp before but this time a tripod almost did the trick for me.

Nice shot of this 109, Bill! That does look like a really tight fit. They didn't so much sit in the plane as they put it on like a pair of pants!
