Brad Pitt and I share the exact same birthday (month, day, year) outside of that, our stories diverge considerably. Mr. Pitt went on to become an internationally famous superstar, while I have led the much more interesting life of the starving artist. I come from a long line of storytellers (whose gift for gab stretches back through the mists of time to our native Ireland) and professional malcontents who were seemingly born to create something in the arts, be it music, writing, sculpture, painting, or photography. I started writing at age 12 with a screenplay with my cousin Ryan about a planet where everyone looked like Elton John entitled "Don't I Know You?" More screenplays followed, several of which received epic Super-8 production with budgets that sometimes ran up to $10. A few even had sound!  More writing followed: songs, poems, short stories, numerous unfinished novels, etc.. Somewhere in there was an attempt at being a rock star...
Still living at home, at age 22, my father dropped an elderly Nikromatt 35-mm film camera into my lap, in the hopes that I would "make a go of it" as a photojournalist. That didn't happen, but I did develop an abiding love of photography that along with writing and archival work have been among the chief passions of my life. When it comes to my photography, I try to be as creative as possible while at the same time striving for a documentary/archival quality. The only set rules I adhere to, when it comes to making pictures are: 1.) Try not to make the picture blurry, and 2.) Don't drop the camera.

Hope you feel better soon! Illnesses are not fun, I know. At least you have your sense of humor. That goes a long way to getting well.

Wonderful feeling to see you are up to posting. Chip is an amazing friend and kept us all informed on your recovery. Welcome back, take it slow & easy and then there are the pills. Been there and done that. Wish I had thought to take a shot like this as a remembrance. Dana

Ya know...I logged you off when you went to the bathroom, but I'll let you log in if you wanna make comments. I held off on this since you'd talked about posting it for a while. I'm really glad it's your first post since getting home. You have that new valve smell...that's cool. And this image totally rocks! I love the whimsy and the sheer cleverness. What an idea. Great photo. And I have to say that I've never seen pill bottles so big and intense before! It's a wee bit intimidating. This is hilarious and I love it. It's a good photo too.

Oh yeah ... this is IT! LOL! The View From The Bed. When you're done, don't flush the pills down the toilet, okay? That's no longer the approved method of disposal ... gets in the water supply. LOVE the descriptions of the pills. This is a great shot! Repetition, light, content ... good stuff!

Okay, so, do not drive, do not perform hazardous tasks, do not have a beer and whatever you do, DO NOT use a salt substitute!! :D

So glad to see you post on your own. It means you are recovering just fine. I also see you are drowsy...I read the labels. :-) Nothing feels better than sleep when you are recovering. Been there. Get plenty of rest.

Welcome back...don't let these little buggers take you to the land of drowsiness and dizziness too long. How well I remember my recovery from this operation last year...since then I have never felt better. You will too my friend.

What? No square yellow tablets? I thought they were the ones that helped the new valves seat properly...

Cool shot/title. PS: If all these pills won't help, then I would suggest switching to "Placebo Forte"! :)

Powerful words from the R'mones! I always notice that side effects are always worse than symtoms treated.
