UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Wallflowers! Not the sort you used to get round the edge of an old fashioned ballroom, though!

Really nice, bright colors, too. That's my problem with plants - they can't tell me what they need/don't want. For some reason they keep dying on me. Too much/too little water? How about nutrition? Sigh. No answer, just fading. A beautiful change from planes and technical things. :)

They're so pretty! I'm glad Andrea had the I.D., because I didn't know either. This must have been at Lewis-Beckman ... it's just their style. Beautiful photo!

stunning beauty Bill and superb capture

Wow, the leaves look like California poppy, but the flowers don't...unless those aren't the leaves that go with those flowers. They look like stocks or phlox, but not the colour...I'm baffled too. But they are beautiful, and that's their purpose, so that's all that matters!

Must be one of those mute flowers I heard about...lol. Wonderful yellow, for sure boost the happiness by 20%.

Say, I just researched the name wallflowers, and by golly, there really is such a plant, and pretty too, in different varieties! I always thought wallflower was just an expression used for people who were too shy to party and dance. Live and learn. That said, stellar colors and textures in this shot of the flora, Bill.

I thought these may be wall flowers too but the leaf is wrong and as it is autumn with you they are usually seen in spring. I do wish they had spoken their names for you but never mind they seem happy and cheerful. A lovely capture.
