UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

2000 shots! Yes its a sickness isnt it!! But then there are the people who buy a nice camera duty free or whatever, and then it sits in a cupboard for when they occassionally go to a wedding. My cameras never get a rest! They are worked to the bone and then some!!!

Great capture of the planes and Rob!. I agree with Blinkings (Andrew) about the cameras that people buy and don't use. Mine is with me almost 24/7, with extra chips and batteries

Aw, gee. Rob looks like a little teen age kid in his seventh heaven. Really cute shot. But, I wonder what his real age is. This is such a great, natural photo. If you hadn't said it was Rob, we'd all have just assumed an anonymous visitor. But this is more fun! Thanks for the enjoyment! :)

I like seeing the old planes but most places are limited on space so as you know one must get several subjects in one shot.excellent capture and good seeing Rob

SUPER COOL!!! GREAT IMAGE!!!

Terrific lighting ambience in this shot of Rob amidst the aeroplanes, and bombs, Bill. I've got some in-the-hangar pics of planes, but they're no where as good as the ones Rob and you have taken of indoor aircraft. But I'll post them anyway by and by. And don't forget to check out my Prop blur dedi to Rob for today.

Hah :-) brilliant, pitty you're not in Robs shot.On closer examination of my Hendon shots, Rob turns up in a few (not intentionally) as we did our own thing and bumped into each other along the way.I actually recognise the plane, just can't think of the name off hand, but very distinctive with that 'chin'.

Yep - a true photographer at work! I can see why he was totally immersed - that looks like a fascinating place to get creative with a camera! Those planes look great, and you got an excellent photo here! Nice one, Bill! Looks like Rob got a really nice one, too!
