Well Rob you got me searching after the above comment on the post of the 'Loadmasters' on Sunday.
The top one is a roundel with an orange springbok on a Dakota circa 1952-58, which replaced the round orange centre of a roundel.
The Cape of Good Hope Castle emblem with the springbok on a Mirage F1 is the next down, circa 1970-81.
At the bottom is the current emblem on the SAAB Gripen introduced in 2003.
I will try and capture ones of the years in between sometime.
So Rob, in answer to your questions...

A fine view of the changes in SAAF markings on three cool planes. I never much cared for the low visiblity markings. I like the color stuff!
