Ravengers Foil Clanker Attack - by Penelope Parker This fotograph of the vigilante group called the Ravengers:(from R to L) Metal Man, the Wisp, Odinson, Captian Patriot and Mr Gargantuman; was takin in the Old Quarter of Empire City yesterday afternoon. The Ravengers had just finished battleing a massive Clanker, belonging to the mad Dr. Cloxwerks, that was attempting to damage the Aether transfer station near the Apothemacy Wellness Center. Despite expressed concerns about civilian involvement in military matters by both the Imperial Security Services and the House of Makers, the Ravengers have refused calls to stand down. When questioned by this reporter, Captian Patriot responded with the following, "We will not shrink from our responsibilty to serve the citizens of Empire City when the authorities cannot. We are not here to challenge the establishment, instead we are to protect our way of life from the attacks by mechanical monstrosities, industrial terrorist and the aether scientists of the Prussian Conglomerate who seek to harm or otherwise take advantage of the average person. *********** When I saw jonnte's superhero texture for Solo the idea hit me to do a steampunkish render of a superhero team inspired by the original 1960's Avengers. I tried not to make each character a blatant rip off, but instead make them a bit unique and in keeping with the setting. It took me way to long to complete this since I had to break it up into 3 renders and mesh them together. Plus I had to many RL interruptions through the week. But at least it's done.
