Description

Well this was my humble entry into the Vue 3D Character Contest. A bit too low key as one friend told me.. but a nice exercise for me where no post work was allowed. Wabe.. your ivy was fun to work with, and so many variations.. a great product. This was also an exercise for me to work out details for a forthcoming product of windows over time... well at least 2-300 years as a prop where one can set their figures in front of, behind these hand made glass panes for close up portraits. Scene made up by using a black cube with the front deleted. Modeled a window pane and then duplicated it several times stacking them to create a wall in front of the cube opening. The Poser figure was then placed between the two.. a side view would show her legs sticking down below the box. I wanted to have bubbles in the glass son this was done in the function editor.. my product will provide this as a material.. one thing I regretted was the work to play with the glass also softened the details in her face a bit.. well can't have everything with a straight render. Hope you like.. and please zoom in as always with my efforts. London224

Magnifique portrait. Ma tentative pour créer une image à travers une fenêtre s'est soldée par un échec d'une banalité affligeante. Cela fait plaisir de voir les images de personnes qui ont un vrai talent.

You do like dark moody images. Well done though. Seems like you tend toward drama and mood in your pictures. Nice. - Bob

Very nice and another view of your current work in progress. Pitty about the postwork because this coulda been really dramatic... not that it isn't... but you know what I mean... no image is complete without photoshop. To me the bubbles in the glass look like raindrops... which for me gives the image a certain dark mood.

Thanks for the supportive comments all... and sorry to say Mayalin... didn't make the finals. Every effort is a great step forward for me and one of the reasons I'm always preaching for people to take more time and get more out of every effort. I spent a week doing 3 major renders a day until I got everything as close to what I wanted before settling on a final. My work folders often wind up being 1-2 gigs of support files and tests.

Very impressive work!!! I know it may not appear so from my final renders....but like you I do lots of tests before ever posting an image. It's learning experience...and its fun!!

Wonderful piece. I like the details. The water on the glass is quite realistic.

Very beautiful, I too saw the bubbles as rain, but I like their look. And I must admit I also do a lot of testrenders.
