The water is looking pretty good. This is not bad for only three weeks into Max. I do not know what is going up to the cage and globe, however. Looking at the picture, I could not tell that the whole thing was in the water. I thought that the wall element was a fountain base. Upon looking at it closer I can see that the whole fountain is in the water. Because the modling is all simple shapes, you will need to pay close attention to how the picture is setup. You will also want to pay more attention to the lighting of the picture. I'm assuming that the graininess is just the compression of the picture, so I won't say anything about it. All in all, it is a pretty good beginning. Keep plugging away at it, you'll get their. Unfortunately, it is hard to get better with some of the critiques you get here. You should try out 3D Buzz.com and the3DStudio.com. They have a forum, where you can upload pictures. The community is very good and will give you lots of tips. I'm giving you a 5 because of the good start to a very difficult program to learn.
