Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

What a capture. I like those skull shapes, they're so nicely stylized and they remind me of stuff I've seen in the Czech Republic. Great light and textures. There are so many stories implied in this and I'm really curious about them too! This is really great stuff. Touching. It's very human and shows the incredible frailty humans often have to endure. This is quite a moving piece of work.

Such a very sad thing to lose a child, but losing two at once is a horrible loss.
Katraz
Fascinating, It would be terrible to lose two children I can only think it was a fever or accident.

Oh wow Dana I love it! It's older than anything non-indigenous we have around here! I love it when old tombstones are published online, whether they be my me or someone else. I have this strange sense of pride thinking about how the person would feel if they knew that they were being beamed all over the world by this new space aged Internet! I bet they could never had imagined it. It feels like giving them their 15 mins of fame.

Capital capture of the very olde headstone, as least as far as I'm concerned, Dana. It's held up well after all this time. And the stone chiseler did a top notch job.
