This is the beautiful 'Fly Agaric'. Those white spots will wipe off, they are part of the membrane which the shroom pushes up through. (Just in case you didn't know!!)

Looks like a superb specimen of Amanita Muscaria ( Fly Agaric) - Poisonous and hallucinogenic, contains muscarine and ibotenic acid. Beautiful but deadly! Great capture!

Now this should be voted Fungus of the Year! WOW! I love this shot. The colors are so beautifully intense...not just the perfect shroom, but the grass around it and the little buds (grass seed pods?) All of this is absolutely stunning and I love the clarity. WOW! This is just amazing!
