And a source of pride she should be! Beautiful work on the decking and roof! A lovely little locale to take some nice private time to yourself. It really looks lovely. I really miss working on projects like this with my Dad.

Your deck looks really nice. Its floor looks like our bathroom floor, we used the same material used for sailship decks. Your garden looks beautiful. There is a large plant on the side of your deck that looks like a giant fern, what is it? It's not until I zoomed in to see the amaryllis closely that I saw you and your baby in your arms. As there was your little girl on a previous picture, how many more children have you if I may ask? Isn't that question too facebookish?:-D ! Have a good time, my friend! Cheers Odile

reminds me the time we had the house in Luxembourg,it looked like one of the "Schwarzwalhaus" in germany in the blackforrest. we have been constructing pergolas all arouns.a lot of wood treatmant, protective paint and all that before assembling. a little bit like this: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwarzwaldhaus. i will see if i still have pictures, but then if, they will be of the worst quality me beeing a crappy photographer and at the time 1989-1990 i had no digital cam which was even wordse hehehe.now with digital i get one good one out of at least hehehehe. fantastic shots and professional and neat work.

Don't apologize for facebooking your uploads, Carl - remember I have asked for this picture! :D Besides, it's a nice change from your usual stuff - and last but not least this peeping into your "non-virtual reality" makes you personal and real. I always enjoy this kind of personal uploads... It's amazing you could manage this job on your own, and do it so nicely. It fits that place in your garden so fine, and I can imagine you and your family and friends will spend some great moments there... Vashek

Wow, quite a little paradise you have made with the garden and now a deck to be able to sit on and enjoy it all from. This is wonderful, and I love the choice of wood, it fits the surroundings quite well. :) I wish you many happy years of enjoyment here~
