Description
I shot this last season and it was a very popular card for me. They are such a pretty flower with a wonderful perfume. I have nearly 40 frangipani trees on my property, they are all in bloom around xmas. I hope you are all safe and well. I pick up my new BBQ for the deck tomorrow morning, I am very excited!

the light, soft shadows, colors, the beads of water on the petals, all creating an instant mood of peace and calm. the more i look at it the better i feel,...hey! this isn't a new form of Prozac is it? cuz my insurance doesn't cover Prozac! o.O seriously though Carl, if you don't mind, i'm going to add this into my desktop rotation (turned on it's side) for those days i want to elevate my mood from a heavy or edgy place. merci beaucoup!

Very nice shot. I love frangipani a lot. In Cameroon, Central Africa, where I work several months a year, there are plenty and they bloom all the year round. At the fringe of Sahara desert ,North Cameroon, there a species of frangipani with no leaves, the branches are shorter and thicker and the flowers bloom in little bunches at the tip of branches. When I go back , I'll try to find a picture of those for you. Enjoy your BBQ! Cheers O.

That's beautiful. I think taking great photos of flowers is such an art. Yes the flower itself is usually pretty, but then you have to get the composition right, the lighting just so and the focus spot on or it's just a snapshot. This is art. :)
