Description
I had wanted to have an extreme DOP for this scene remembering the card playing scene in Barry Lyndon where Stanley K.. had used specially developed lens to film the scene in candle light only... but due to the size and complexity of the scene this was going to take too long to render so I had simply played with a bit of blur in photoshop to achieve a bit of this. I also decided to alter the color to a more aged/yellowing look that so many of us have become accustomed to before the masters started to be cleaned. Enjoy.. and as always zoom in.

Thank you for the large format! It is a wonderful composition that extends the boundaries for what that is possible in CG. Sometimes when I quarrel with the Vue fundamentalists I need only to look at your work to get calm and get my nerves soothed. Not a plant in the scene, thank god!

I love your work, though i've only just recently discovered it i've found it very inspiring, your website too is fantastic. This piece reminds me a little of the old Dutch painters....I think because of the subdued lighting. I really want to try something like this myself but I just can't get Poser Pro 2010 to work with Vue8 Studio....I'm now going to see if I can get better Poser import results from Vue7 pro...fingers crossed! *****

Right away I scanned around the image to see if you kept your promise about the cat and indeed you did. Is it just me or does the figure almost take on the appearance of an appiration? She seems to blend into the scene so well that you blink to see if she is there.
