Description

I've watched the construction of this bridge for years. Mrs Sea Dog and I saw its earliest beginning back in 2003 when we visited Las Vegas for our 30th Anniversary and then came back a few times later. Last week when I took a little time off in Vegas I drove out one morning to check on the progress. As you can see the bridge is complete - in fact it was dedicated the day after I took this picture - you can see some small tents being put up for the ceremony. Stats: 8 years to build; $240 million cost. almost 1400 ft long and 859 feet above the Colorado River. Enjoy. PS: That's the Boulder Dam Visitors' Center on the right.

Wow That looks like an awesome place............ Love the view......... and $240 million to build wow.........I would like to take just a tad of that and fix up my mom's home I inherited.....wouldn't take a lot but you can't do it if you haven't got it......so the going is slow........ Nice looking Visitors Center too Thanks for taking this image for us.......this is as close as I am going to get to see it in real life........so I thank you for sharing the view with me to say I have saw it............. BTW Happy Belated 30 yrs on your anniversary.......my hubby and I will be married 29 this coming Feb..........we're doing alright in that dept aren't we?:) Hugs Susan~

Looks like they made that really strong. :) Excellent POV and capture! I imagine your standing on the Dam to take this, that or you learned how to fly. ;)
