My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Beautiful painted pots. I love your paintings and the links you provide to show us what inspired you.

Better than the grime and grit of the potters wheel...? Both have their place in the world of creativity, fun and relaxation. Well done! Clive

Great feeling to this.. for me a real evocation of slippery terracotta clay before it's dried and fired!

You already know how I feel about this, but I might as well make it public. This is splendid, Tara. Splendid. Your velvety strokes are just delicious, you've turned the longitudinal lines of fine pottery into something sensual and beautiful; and your highlighting on each vase is both beautiful and oh-so painterly. These are the kinds of choices the finest painters make. And the conglomerate of hues in the shaded portions (of the pots) are to die for---a wonderful combination of browns, reds, etc. And your background---what an intuitive choice to go with that peach-hued background, with nothing but the texture itself to give it articulation. You don't need anything else, no walls, no floors or table-surfaces: The colors alone are enough. And you've left light around the pots, which gives them an almost beatific presence. Beautiful; and a wonderful transformation of Helle's already wonderful pot photos...as people say, "more, more, more!" I hope you do more painting as the months go on, this is splendid work.
