Description
Nine Saucers Circling:
Roswell, New Mexico, 1947
Hi Folks! Here is Number 9:
Who were the prisoners confined to Area 51 of the Nevada Test and Training Range near Groom Lake? Were they the survivors of a spacecraft that is alleged to have crashed in the New Mexico desert?
Where were they from? Mars? Or Krypton? Were they Jedi Knights who got lost during a mission for the Rebel Alliance? Or were they an advance team from a Romulan invasion force?
Did they resemble humans, like the Skrulls? Or were they technoid mutations, like the Daleks? Were they scientists from Earth’s future, trapped in a time warp and stranded in the 20th Century? Or were they our planet’s masters during its prehistoric past, returning to claim what was once theirs?
Have they been missed? And have any of their folks been searching for them?
How much we will ever know—or be allowed to know—is uncertain. But what we can be sure of is that all the military personnel who served at top secret air bases during that time and who are still alive are now in their twilight years. Some of them are coming forward to tell what they know—as well as what they saw, and what they did.
BTW: Robert H. Goddard, the US American scientist who developed the first liquid-fueled rocket, conducted most of his prototype tests in the desert near Roswell. Go figure.
In the meantime, if you’re ever in Chaves County, be sure to pick up one of the local souvenirs: the doll of an adorable little green man, or his image on a t-shirt, mug, or towel.
