Description

Popgriffin's model just brings out the space opus in me. I'm beta testing the final versions right now so his model should be available soon. He did real good with this. For this render, I did the fighter and pilot as two seperate renders. Then in Photoshop, I layered them and did post work on each layer. Both layers were given inner shadow, the fighter I added a black filled outline which I placed on top and set the layer on soft light. I then gave this a graduated layer mask so that the bottom was darker which is how it should be with the current light setup. I lightened the pilot, and then did another black filled outline of both the pilot and fighter on a separate layer. I transformed them, distorted downwards, and added gaussian blur for a shadow. Then I did a graduated layer mask of this "shadow" so that it is less distinct in the distance. As you can see, Popgriffin did an amzing job on the detail in this model which I will try to show as much of as I can.
