Description

UF5/PSP/photography Thank you for stopping for a look. Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated. Today's image is just for fun really. This past May, Glenda (my wife) and I went on a 10 day Caribbean cruise out of Fort Lauderdale in Florida. We live an 8 hour drive north of the North Dakoda boarder so you get an idea where we are. This was our first holiday since we were married 17 years ago. The small photo in the bottom was taken up on the promanade deck at sea on a very windy day. it was wonderful. The top one is the same photo used as a layer in a fractal. It looks to me like we are in a fractal tunnel of some kind. Now you have a face to go with the words on my comments. I know the cruise was expensive, that is why it took 17 years to save for it, but i would highly recommend it to anyone that wants a wonderful holiday where you are treated like royalty and spoiled every second of the time you are with them. Have a wonderful Sunday. In 2 months from today it will be Christmas eve :) Time flies.

The top shot remings me of the opening theme of that old TV series Time Tunnel. My ex wife and I took a 10 day Caribbean cruise out of Fort Lauderdale in 82 or 83, long time ago anyway, a graduation gift for her(us) from her parents when she completed her Civil Engineering degree. Think I gained 30 pounds on that Cruise, never ate so much Fantastic Food so Often in my Life. Peace

A wonderful idea and presentation, Jim and Glenda :) So VERY nice to meet these royalties. I wish you a long and pleasant stay in your Fractalland together :). Thank you for sharing one of your best memories. The way you did this is very special, I appreciate it very much. I think you have a lovely wife, with a great sense of humor. And your head, looks sympathetic too!!! (just laugh a little bit more next time, relax LOL)

Two great pics. The time tunnel is very apt and works really well. You look a very happy couple. Long life and good health to you both:-) The nearest I ever got to cruising was when some Norwegian friends paid for me and Alex as a honeymoon gift to do "Norway in a Nutshell". A dream trip. My other time was taking the St Tudno from Liverpool to Holyhead in Anglesey for a holiday when we were children. I spent all my time on deck wondering how far the wind would blow the sick from the mouths of some ladies who were having a bad time.

Thank you so much, Jim. What an absolute delight! Now I also know who Glendaw is, whose avatar (naturally a cat) I have seen floating around from time to time. I feel that I have already met you in many interesting venues and now you have added a very meaningful dimension to an already fascinating pastiche. I now have you placed geographically as well. I knew you were in Canada, but Canada is a big place. Nice to see your dashing and dapper self in Fractalia. ~Stan~

Wonderful, Jim. I'm so pleased you finally decided to go on a cruise. The sea is wonderful. Never been seasick myself, but can sympathise with anybody who doesn't seafare well. When we used to cruise the incomparable Hauraki Gulf in a 30ft keeler, my ex-husband spent most of his time down below puking into a bucket lol (evil grin), while I couldn't get enough wind in my hair and fish on my hook. Glory!
