Description

A closer look at one of the rock formations in the Valley of Fire. I caught a glimpse of this stone as I was climbing stairs to see the glyphs.. and just had to capture it. I was very pleased with the outcome. This will be the last rock for a while. I have other stuff waiting.. but I may go back to rocks again if the mood strikes ;) Thank you for stopping by, commenting and faves on my previous photo, "Into the Light". I am inspired to continue taking photos, and hopefully improve with each one, from all of you here. Thank you so much to take the time and leave a comment, it means a lot!!! HUGS, ~Melinda~

Fantastic textures. It is as if you could blow up different aspects of the photo and have a another world - such art in nature. Great eye!

Stunning. This is so incredibly unexpected! It's like watching boiling magma frozen in time. WOW! The patterns are superb and you captured the whole thing perfectly. Again you've caught those sort of iron-oxide-ish rock colors perfectly as well as other subtle colors that sort of dance around each other as if in some complicated, geological ballet! Yeah, you're on a roll with these!
