It is cold and raining, and I am snuggled up inside enjoying the day. Soon I will grab a blanket, a book and curl up in my favorite chair!

Oh, a fiery lava flow, caught at night, for sure, Melinda! I don't know, it's not raining around here...in fact, the sun was out in the late afternoon just an hour or so ago so I could go out and test my new camera.

!!! WOW !!! This is the kind of photography I live for. There's so much out there to see and to enjoy and this is proof of that! I love the intense stony red and the rock textures, and because I'm weird like that, I also like the vaguely otherworldly quality this shot has. Kinda like Mars for the color or some other interesting planet full of inhabitants that do all sorts of interesting things. The light is superb, and the colors are so crisp and lively. Great composition too...the POV puts me right there! Is this in a cave looking out, or is it down in a kind of canyon looking ahead? It doesn't really matter: it's perfect either way. Great stuff.
