My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

Ugly indeed but a very handy vehicle. One downfall for this vehicle id=s very wet muddy areas. Gets stuck easily because of its heavy weight.I see its tow bar is missing. makes me think back of the times when we were punished where 2 soldiers had to run carrying the tow bar on their shoulders and not to talk about Ratel tyre's that we had to flip over.Well that was the good and bad times in the army. Fond memories have been awakened.Stunning capture Clive.

Ha - I have driven a puppy like this before in Middelburg, Mpumalanga many moons ago when the ex was still in the army. They handle easier than a sedan vehicle! Wonderful shot Clive!

Wow! Never in a million years would I have expected to see one of these amazing vehicles on Renderosity... This vehicle holds very fond memories. My stepdad was heavily involved in the development of the vehicle and I've been privy to some documentation and video from the early to mid 80's when most of the development took place... But the greatest memory was a priviledge my late father was responsible for me having... Being able to drive one of these... I suppose if he was still alive and someone from the army read this there would've been serious issues... Either way... Great Image of a legend in South Africa. Werner
