Description

You may have noticed that a few images were posted in what may be described as in an angry tone. For that I apologise. It is my belief that the pictures that I present to you are what I see and that if you were with me when I took those pictures, that is what you would see as well. So for me to enhance the photo, that is fiddle with the contrast and/or the saturation is, in my mind presenting somthing to you that does not exist. when I do postwork, it is either the image needs it drastically, at which point I will use some extreme PW to change the image to improve it or because of personal ideas, in either case though, the image is non-recognisable as the original. Again, I apologise to all of you Mike PS no postwork here except to put my name to it

Don't be daft Mike. I didn't think you were angry, just showing your photograph in different ways. You have to take people at face value on the internet unless you know them well. I enjoyed the journey anyway, and now for a nice long paddle....er there aren't any nasties in there are there?

No apologies neccessary, Mike! You and I think a lot alike, I believe. I, too want to convey the feeling, the thoughts, the emotion, or just the serenety I feel - especially when shooting a beautiful landscape or scenic subject. I will, when I'm not happy with the way a photo looks, from time to time fiddle with it in Photoshop, but I try to get the exposure right in camera, or at least a good representation of what the scene was in my eyes. Sheesh - I could talk photography for hours........ LOL! Wish I lived closer to you. I'd love the opportunity to spend a day exploring and shooting with you in Fae Valley... Excellent work, my friend! Keep on doing what you do! You do it very well.

Ah, finally, a nice peaceful image {;->. Angry is good if it is for a just cause. I never thought you were angry, just experimenting. Your experiments always turn out so well.

Don't say sorry...you/we are human this is in your/our nature. We communicate and using pictures the express how we feel. Sometimes happy sometimes angry. I do and I know many other friend of mine does. Who don't like it have an option to click away. Love the semi see through water. I see what is under but realy have to look.

did i miss something??no see no anger from you in the 2.5 years i know you mike. in any case we cannot like all we see, just imagine the amounts of works you are visiting lets be frank you cannot like them all.you pay the necessary respect thats good enough in my eyes,i dont even like all the works i do myself, strangely some other artists do lol. me personnelly i have problems with photos and fractals as i am not that able to make a connection for the feeling,i dont know how to explain this phenomenom, i am working on that little by little it might sound stupid but thats the way it is and i just mention it because its the truth. now in a complex scene for example i walk through and my imagination leads me,when i am setting a scene i live in the scene and i explore it from every angle. but we are all different which is a goood thing. i mean you show what you feel and we can pick it up or not.or see it different,or pick one of your images and do a scene with, like ute did.there is all possibilities and hey its artistic freedom. this is a nice place and community and we should all interact with the other in a decent way, sometimes i dont feel decent ok then i stop doing comments for a few hours and go freshly into the next round.we are all humans and a lot of times something is written or said very quick and it hits the receiving end maybe in a wrong way at the wrong momemt .thats all human. i dont see no reason for an apology.

Didn't know what you were talking about, so I went back but didn't detect anger from where I sit. Having gone back, I prefer the peaceful version, but hey, I never get 60 comments on anything... BTW, I happen to like photos taken through the water!

don't appoligize mike - angry art has a way of making anger - then again, some people really put out some nice pieces when their emotion gets tested. People like what they see, that's why they come here... I look at you as a gentle fae, happy with the world and showing us bits and pieces of your world. Ya never know what you're going to get when you come here, so when someone asks if you can focus, filter, zoom in, out, they just might have something in mind that your work can help them achieve an image they have in mind... You know me, I say what comes to mind, I am to put a smile on your face or give your mind a speed bump to where it may jar other ideas. When you say sorry, we hurt too, it's as if we all guess "maybe I said something wrong" - ...I know that's not the case, cause you'd come site mail my ass and tell me to remove my comment - lol I like your picture mike, it's as if you went out on a limb to get this bird's eye view.

You owe me no apology Mike, and if I've said anything offensive to you please forgive me. Above all stay true to your art understanding we can't please everybody, if your happy, let everything else fall where it may! If we all done everything the same way how boring would that be I'm glad there is such a diverse perspective here at Renderosity and diverse styles as well not all my cup of tea but that's ok, it's there's and I'm glad they are posting. I agree with everybody else don't apologize for you work!

No need to apologize, Mike! Besides, what for?? Imo, apply as much postwork to a photo and tweak it however you like, because you are the artist! The inclined viewer then may like/accept the result/style or NOT. Latter needs only to be considered, if you have to be commercially successful. ;)

Emotions are not a bad thing, but a part of the creative process. I find your art work and photos very stimulating, well done and often funny. I use sometimes irony and I can get up set about something, so I think it's life. But I have always felt your are a very friendly and open person to everyone. So I thank you for that. Mike. The pic. A great shot here. It remains me of the moments when you suddenly meditate about something and see wonders in a glimpse under ones feet. Under the quiet flowing stream lies stones, some big, some small - but no one are exactly alike. Like humans - we are not quite alike and this is why life is so exciting and giving! Best wishes, Rhanagaz aka Johnny C.

I love this capture Mike. I have never seen anything you did that ever sounded short tempered to me. Your comments on my images have always been very supportive and never once were they derogatory. As far as postwork goes, i asked about that a couple of weeks ago to get people's opinions since i had some feedback at one time that talked about losing the purity of the image. I got a ton of feedback and every single person said that it is totally up to the artist what kind of postwork they want to do. I can see with your photography that there really is very little need of any postwork as your images are spectacular already, but if you wanted to tweak something, that is a totally personal decision and i can not think anyone would ever think less of your work because of it. I look forward to see your new images each day, You cover a wide range from photography into the fairy world and do an excellent job on them all.

Take all things in context. If it won't affect your standard of life in 20 years, it isn't worth blowing up. At least, that's what I've learned in my many years on earth. but I do love this shot and the title is perfect.

It's a matter of freedom of choice Mike! Touch-up or not, if one enjoys what they do, let them do it! There are a lot of things in this World to get angry about, Art should not be one of them!
