Description

This was one of those shots that just happened. I was looking down at the surfers yesterday morning and saw this guy just starting to go over. All I could do was point and shoot!!

Wow! Very excellent capture! Wonderful timing, and detail! The waves are stunning! I love the lines going to the cauldron of churning water!

Wow. This is absolutely spectacular!! I agree with Denise. You are SO good at this kind of shot! When you hang out taking pictures of the things you love best, you get the most amazing stuff. There's not a thing wrong with the images you usually get, but man-o-man ... this TOTALLY rocks!! It's just about the best thing I've ever seen you do. Spectacular!!

You're at the right place at the right time. Unlucky for him but I'll bet he would love to have this photo of him. Excellent job. Aloha

This is an outstanding capture although it looks like he is going to get clobbered by his board. Photo of the week! Dana

lol, with all the stellar reactions you got, I feel like writing "bfd---I coulda done this with my eyes shut!" All comments are deserved, it's an amazing collation of eye, quickness of mind, and shot. The separation between the surfer and the water is wonderful, the black of his hair almost looks like a shadow against the wave (amazing seeing), the board---which almost looks like a small shark (with some very strange coloring, lol)---flying out of frame, and those wonderful plunging waves in the background: Any one of those would be cause for a shot, but you got them all. A wonderful still capture of many kinds of movement all converging into one. Terrific seeing, and a terrifically exciting shot.
