I believe that an image should conduct a dialogue with the viewer. The more words necessary to explain the image, the weaker the messsage.
I make no claim to artistic skill. I'm like a kid with a box of crayons; but I lack the purity.
Considering the agenda of either wing to be folly, I represent what was once the center, BEFORE certain media bloviators claimed the mainstream for themselves.
Of our OWN universe, we are always the center.

The image is quite amazing, and thought provoking. Where did you find that?

I agree. Shame that people have to run off to and report certain comments to Renderosity staff like some spoilt child. Some of the images in this thread are pretty crap and have very little artistic merit but there are a few that can raise questions and start debates. (Although it is hard to debate when we are only allowed one response and the 'artist' can write many. And sometimes does! ;) ) I for one have been told that I can 'f**k myself' that I am a 'failed artist' that I 'produce shit' (the list goes on...) but I'm big enough and man enough to take these comments with a pinch of salt, so to speak, and generally laugh them off. Sorry about the long response intro.... Regards.

A very good one!

I can interpret this in different ways - from both sides of the fence, so to speak. A powerful statement either way. What need is there to debate when an image can say it all?

Are you wanting to post in a gallery or a forum?
intro
@chuter I submit that THIS ONE GALLERY should be both. Why not?

@turner I think the best definition of "long" would refer to responses other than yours.

@kmoffat I created it with a composite of a photo (the fence)used as a light gel in Carrara (so as to appear as a shadow, which on closer exam...it isn't) and projecting that light behind a transparent plane which was textured with the flag. Most of the difficulty was in getting the light angle to project the "barbs" and "chain link" to align with the "stars" and "stripes" respectively in the flag. Carrara's camera was then set to wide angle and panned in close...Bing.
