Description

This is mostly an exercise in manipulating the new Rocky Mountain fractal in Vue 9. The terrain was generated by using only the Rocky Mountain type 2 fractal and adjusting the parameters. I added rocks at iteration 5 and also increased their height and roughness. For texturing I used two materials with their distribution controlled by the rough area output of the terrain fractal. I also sprinkled in a few Joshua trees for scale. The new fractals are an amazing addition to Vue and greatly increase the world building possibilities. Make sure to look at the full size to see all the terrain detail. Ciao TD

Very interesting how this came out. Looks as though it is rocks that have been covered by years of wind blown dirt
