Description

Hope you all had a safe and sane Halloween. So now, back to the everyday simple things in life. Captured 10/8/10, from somewhere in the neighborhood, early in the morning after a storm. A zoom would be highly appropriate in this instance. I almost did a collage of variations on this one, but decided to just leave it alone and let it rest on its original laurels. Incidentally, the forecast is for a sunny 90 fahrenheit degrees on Wednesday, so, despite a few hiccups, summer is still with us here in Southern California. Sayonara, thankx for tuning in, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

A beauty Harry! Just got home one hour ago. Looking forward to getting back into a routine that includes RR again:) I love clouds like these...but they present a real challenge. The camera just can't see all we see. Oh, and congrats on your new camera...know you'll enjoy it once you get really comfortable with all it can do for you.

Lovely clouds. I agree with Bill....sometimes the sky looks so awesome, but the camera just can't do it justice.

Beautiful! I love all the shades of gray and bright bits of white. Nice capture of the layers. I love that when storms are coming in or going out. The high here today was 87 Fahrenheit. Sigh. Excellent shot! I like it on its own!

A lovely capture of these clouds and I love the blue of the sky. Clouds always amaze me at how different they are.

We have had some extraordinarily wonderful skies here in Southern California lately! Great shot. ... and I am soo not looking forward to the dry, hot, windy days of fall :P

yes, bill is right, clouds & sky aren't easy to capture, as they often don't look like they do when we see them with the naked eye. But you've managed to get a cottony meeting of clouds around an open center, and that big blue sky permeating through, as well as the grays on the bottom half: Lots of visual music here, lots of different textures, with the most dramatic lighting in the center. That makes it a real "sky" shot, because the 'ground' isn't at the bottom but in the center. You take on a tough subject, you get wholly fine results, Harry. And good luck with your new camera too---a canon power shot? (Isn't that what you said in some gallery, or maybe it was your gallery...) I wish you the best with it! And again, all the best healing with your back. You're generous to come here at all when you're dealing with that kind of pain...

Excellent shot of the breaking clouds; glad you left it on its own, it stands out well this way. And 90 degrees in November just wrong!
