Description
Time again for a wee bit of abstract fun and frivolity, dedicated to anahata.c.
Captured the early part of October 2010, early in the morning on busy Imperial Highway, within walking distance of my antagonistic abode.
A zoom is highly recommended for better detail.
This is the same structure that I posted on October 18, 10, this time presented in various stages of angst.
Original on top for comparison.
Au revoir, thankx for clicking on, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

I just got in (at 2:30 in the morning!) and saw this upload. First thank you so much for dedicating it to me, I was honored! Second, it's made with that overpass photo that you know I loved. I liked the luminous quality to the concrete, the way you captured the light & shadow, the 'music' of it, and the sublte soft look you achieved (as well as the pov). I don't know if I said it, but I was going to say, "so where are the variations?" Well here they are! Wonderful set, playful, exploratory & with precision. In the "flood" variation, you got real clarity in the water, luminosity; and it blends perfectly with the bridge, as if it actually happened & you photographed it. (Flood filters can be effective but not realistic: That's why I make the point that this looks like it really happaned.) The third is a kind of nuked version, and your postwork brought out the brick lines that were only mildly visible in the original. Also, the amber sections look 'recessed', like they were entrances to some subterranean venue. (Nice silver-blue tones too!) The B&W is all mystery, esp because of your soft focus---and it brings home how special B&W is, and how we should all try to do it from time to time to commune with so many photographers of the past. Your b&w of course brings out pure shadow & light, but also makes the shadow-line a huge black swath; transforms it into a deep canyon. Then the last is a big time-warp. The warp filtering made it a big concrete smile (with some very long teeth), or...a strange concrete musical instrument. (Jodie might resonate with that.) A lyre from a foreign planet...Wonderful work, with an original I love, and I'm honored to have my name associated with it. Thank you so much, Harry, and thanks for your wonderful comments. They mean the world to me.

Like this very much Harry. I am voting the last one as my favorite too!

These are excellent! The last three are my favorites. #3 for its magnificent golden glow, and the wonderful lines and shapes. #4 for the atmosphere. It makes me think of a movie and expect to see a Humphrey Bogart in a trench coat skulking in the shadows. # 5 is wonderful, with shapes, patterns and motions that send me into another reality. Wonderful images!
