as you know, for my 9 million sunrises I don't have a single sunset (in chicago, at least). And when I saw this, I thought, this is a marilyn image! Partly for the bold use of a few hues & shapes---the two trees, the sun, the morphing sky, and the silhouettes of the tree tops included at top. I mean the boldness of that, the singling out of those few elements as a whole 'statement', getting into the inner energies of all that...But also that you did a sunset that moves down and down, allowing us to watch it flow down to the sun as a 'journey'---a sun, btw, which you gave at the very bottom, where it hits us & then is cut off: Dramatic cropping, Marilyn! Boom! We get our sun and boom! End of picture! Your sun is the "floor" here, the end of the shot rather than the middle or beginning (as it usually is): another turning-nature-on-its-side shot from you. A very living, dynamic shot, yet in some ways a japanese print (for its simplicity). You gotta stay down there a lot longer, you're gettin' some really fine shots while you're there!
