And guess what racket I woke up to today? Yep! More asphalting. This time with a much bigger machine. The first photo looks a bit out of focus - that's because of all the smoke and steam being given off from the asphalt being dumped into the machine from the truck. The truck pulled away a few seconds after taking the top photo - I was lucky to get the photo! The lower photo is of the machine two minutes later as it had finished laying the new top on the driveway. Fast action with machines like that!
Enjoy (at least you don't have to suffer the odour over the Internet!).

The Asphalt Ninjas strike again!...I love the smell ! I worked on the Highways for 12 years when I left school.In spite of the rude awakening, you have captured a technological marvel, these are quite remarkable machines when you understand the workings.Visually unchanged in decades, but upgraded to now include computers and lasers.I'm probably in the minority but I love the whole idea of this.
