Description

A continuation of my new hibiscus series, captured 11/4/10, within walking distance of my acrimonious abode. Much better viewed full size. I'm late today with my posting because I just returned -- all sweaty and discombobulated -- from another big photo shoot way down south around Escondido, so no fancy collage today. Sorry about this, hibiscus lovers, but the petals in this foto remind of romaine lettuce. Sayonara, thankx for looking in, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

Well, it does look good enough to eat, Harry. One of my friends had a few large lizards and Hibiscus flowers were a favorite snack for them.

It matters not, Harry....It's still a quite stunning looking flower.. Beautifully shot in the bright sunlight.. Well taken, my friend! Rob

Hey everyone gets discombobulated at times. My day stared at 4 Am with the power being out due to high winds wild rain and my son in an air mattress bed that uses electricity to run...so we had to get him up out of bed in his wheelchair and bundle him up in blankets sitting around the dining room table with candles was an interesting start to my day lol

yeah, it reminds me of romaine lettuce too. It's fine that this isn't in a collage: It's a beautiful solo. And you've given it to us with light on the right with those glowing leaves, and dark on the left which covers the left side of the flower and sinks it in mystery. Simple composition & quite eloquent, Harry. A beautiful shot all around!

Beautiful lighting, contrast, and colors. I love how the top petal is shadowed with brightly lit areas. Superb detail and textures! Excellent!
