Description

Threw this together while waiting for my car to be serviced...had some guy watching me draw, over my shoulder, which put me off more than a little. Why he felt I was somewhat obliged to allow this, I do not know. It wasn't performance art. I wasn't busking. I stopped, turned around, and held eye contact with him for an uncomfortable length of time. Needless to say he took my none-too-subtle hint and departed. :) My brother-in-law was the inspiration for the drawing. There are similarities between he and this character, but I'd be lying if I said it was a direct portrait. This was drawn pre-pogo (i.e. finger painted), on iPad using ArtStudio. Thanks for looking.

I really like this, the perspective, the color and expression all work together really well. I like this type of drawing, with just a slight change to the eye or mouth and a new color, it would have a completely different mood.

I only wish I had the artistic confidence to draw with an audience :). Maybe one day. Practice - practice - practice.

A striking image. Hopefully baldness won't be his fate though I'm sure artistic imagination will compensate nicely. As to the onlooker, why not try him as a ready-made subject. That would replace diffidence with the beginnings of a new confidence.
