Description

Another oldie; although it's probably unfair comparing an obscure 1970's bit-player to a 1930's cornerstone of American pop-culture. I knew I wanted black lines, and I knew I wanted a black background. This 'shading' was born from trying to satisfy these two opposing requirements. On reflection I wish I had given him his trademark striped tie. Live and learn. This was drawn pre-pogo stylus (i.e. finger painted), on iPad using ArtStudio. Thanks for looking.

hmmm. i don't think i get the 1970's bit player connection. for Dick Tracy i'd say he has a bit of a double chin and isn't nearly as handsome as Tracy is meant to be. but he may be perfect for the other person you refer to. either way, i really like the image and the style. i'm not wild about scribbling changing color at the face and competing with the lines of the face, but the overall effect is very cool.
