Description
Just a shot of me sitting on a C-130 somewhere between Kuwait & northern Iraq around the end of September 2005. This was the start of my second deployment & I was going as an NCO (non-commissioned officer)...a big difference from my first one when I was a buck Private.
It's actually a terrible picture of me...I think my MITCH was too tight & squeezing my head :)

You look rather red in the face. And stuffy. Body armour under the outer clothing? Doesn't look comfortable at all, but, has being a soldier ever really been comfortable? Considering it's 2010 today, I assume you've had the luck of getting home safely! Hope you've had a nice Veteran's DAy!

Good pic, Brother. I've had a few rides in the same scenario myself! Glad you're home...and if you're going back anytime soon...stay safe. Happy Veteran's Day (a day late). Thanks for what you do. Sarge P.S. T.Rex, the Body Armor goes over the ACU (Uniform). The vest alone weighs around 16 pounds (wich is lighter than the old version...weighing 25!) Add all the attachments (shoulder, neck, groin pads...) and you're getting up there. NOT comfortable at all.
