Description

Remember when you could go down to Sears and buy a TV, bring it home, plug it in, and watch "Gunsmoke"? All of this "Brought to you by...after this message from our sponsors". Three times per show, we sat through a sixty second ad. Granted, we hated it, but at least we understood that ads made TV "Free". Then came cable: otherwise known as "Pay TV". We were told it would be "Ad-Free TV"; And so it was.....for a while. Now we literally have to PAY to watch more advertising than programming. Face it: cable sux. I, for one wish that good old "Rabbit Ears" would make a comeback. I'd feel a lot better about watching ads if I knew THEY were sponsoring my show, and I wasn't sponsoring THEM.

Amen to that! I ditched the cable years ago. I can watch the same shows that cable tv has, on the web, for free! Well, I do have to pay for internet service:D

Oh well, there's Roku or just hook up your laptop to the big screen and hulu... or something.. Yeah, screw cable and there's nothing on it anyway. We are disconnecting as we speak.

Yessir, buddy! That's 'free' enterprise for ya. 200-some channels, and all of them are full of crap. 'I'm a-comin' Mister Dillon....'

you must be old as me, I remember when the first house on our street got Color TV. We got Sat. tv, and I gotta admit there are some comercials I just love. Like the one with the wood chucks throwing the guys fire wood into the lake. And you can get modern rabbit ears to pick up the digital signal. Try radio shack.

I´ve abolished TV years ago. It´s so passive and a waste of time to watch a life and a reality others had programmed for you, instead living your own.
