Description

I fried my external hard drive dock. Melted the transformer, actually. So I had to download DAZ again & do a test render to see if my pc was OK. So far, so good. I just hope my hard drive that was docked is ok. I'll find out in a couple of months, after property taxes, etc. Sigh... it was brand new.

that the dock you bought recently and we have been talking about??. a little hint it seems to me that the power lines have a problem in your region you fry too much electronics, think about of installing a surge protection on all equipments i have one on each tv and on each pc and internet separate. i know it costs money but way back in 1999 after i fried my 3rd monitor i installed them ever since and also a surge protection for the whole house.

Sorry to hear your problems! Always annoying! I take back ups more frequently than I did earlier. This render is beautiful as your character is. Love that hair and her outfit and colors! Great composition and atmosphere. The big cat are maybe a little bit too dark, I think! Have a great day! ;o)

Surge protectors would be the way to go! You do seem to suffer from it No bumps there then!

Sorry to hear that your dock fried. But out of your tragedy we get a very nice image. };-) Sweet kitties.... And a surge suppressor won't keep cheap power supplies from going up in smoke. Been working on this stuff for too many decades and I know that even brand new is no guarantee. As you I hope your hard drive survived the smoke show.

Wonderful image and fantastic looking characters. I know a surge protector is not a sure thing, but it is definitly a hedge against such things. We live in a rural area and the power used to go off when the wind blew and the current is still not that steady. So on MY computer I have a huge battery back up and surge protector. On the family computer I have a regular surge protector, I only added that one after we had 3 computers in as many years fry during rain storms :( Haven't lost one since, also have them on all televisions. Yes, they are expensive, but not as expensive as replacing televisions and computers, lol. One year after a storm, we lost a computer, 2 televisions, a dvd player and two cable boxes, bad day. Oh, and may I just add you get what you pay for when it comes to surge protectors, so get the best you can.

Another thing to look into besides the things everyone's mentioned is a "line conditioner", it'll go along way to keep spikes and brownout types of things from interfering with your delicate electronics. Highly recommended. Lovely pic here, Angel, I like how her pet is shaded compared to her, the danger always is where we don't look at times.
