Description
Gold stood in the hanger of the Power, one of Magenta Montal's new ships. It was one of the sixteen Hunter class frigates built at the Madullo shipyards with money embezzled from the Montal Corporation. Her mother had yet to find out who the ships were to be delivered to. And with Matt Corzo and his accomplice dead, it looked like they'll never know.
"Well, well. If it isn't little Gold Ferrush." Mulk said as he stepped from his Stinger, followed by his wife Zanna. The short Mazuran stood before Gold, crouching slightly as he stared at her. "Still as beautiful as the last time I saw you."
"That was only three days ago Uncle Mulk." Gold said with her hands on her hips. "Are you two coming on this trip, too?"
"Are you kidding girl?" Zanna asked. "And miss out on the chance to visit another galaxy?"
"Oh!" Gold cut the tall Mazuran female off excitedly. "Did you two see the kids that K'Shee and Winnie adopted? They are so beautiful!"
"They are." Mulk replied. "But I thought they were only adopting two?"
"Well, when Winnie got to the orphanage to pick up the girls, she saw Zada working on one of the speeders there. He'd been there since his parents abandoned him eight years ago after he lost his lekku in an accident."
"Twi'leks can be a pretty vain bunch sometimes." Mulk said as he shook his head in disgust.
"Yeah. It broke Winnie's heart to see him there, watching the other children being adopted out, while he was always passed up. So she took him as well."
"What did your brother say when she came home with two toddlers and a teen?" Zanna asked Gold.
"He was happy, of course. He became even happier when he found out that Zada loved machinery."
"Ah, someone he can spend time with in his obsession." Zanna said with a laugh. "That man does love machinery."
"So does Zada. They spend every available minute in the hanger restoring those two Z-95 Headhunters. It seems that K'Shee was able to get his red hands on a couple of G Bk-565 hyperdrives. I think those two will do some traveling in them."
"And speaking of children, how's your little girl?" Mulk asked her.
"Are you kidding?" Gold grinned at the couple. "She's being spoiled unmercifully by her father! He has her up on the Power's bridge, showing her around."
"So he's taking the job of O'Toole's executive officer?"
"Yes. He was a good naval officer in the Alliance navy. Now he's going to protect the family." Gold looked over her shoulder.
"Who does the YT-1300 belong to?"
"Joshua's cousin, V'reenda." The Jedi told Gold.
"I don't trust her!" Gold said quickly. Mulk's eyes narrowed.
"Why don't you trust her?"
"For the same reason you don't!" Gold shot bact at him. "I feel the conflict between the light and dark sides of the Force that surrounds her. It's almost like what I would feel whenever Vader was around. Only he was much deeper in the dark side's grasp. She uses the dark side as well, but I don't think it control's her." A look of realization crossed Gold's face.
"She's a Sith!"
"Don't tell anyone!" Mulk said emphatically. "You must keep this to yourself!"
"What! Why?"
"Because it's important that she remain free." Mulk told Magenta's daughter of Joshua's vision. "I also feel that she will play an important role in future events. So please, Keep this to yourself." Gold stared at Mulk for a few seconds before nodding.
"Did she have anything to do with Matt embezzling all that money from my mother, and those other companies?"
"Yes." Mulk said slowly.
"What are they doing with the ships they aquired from Rendili?" Mulk told her.
"A Sith civil war?" She pondered. "Is it possible to root for both sides to wipe each other out?"
"They are not bad for Sith." Mulk glanced over to his wife, and back. "They follow the teachings I left on a holocron I made when I was a Sith Lord."
