Description

...aim was to prove to myself that the natural composition of a rose remains true almost no matter what is done during postwork:) This is the result of applying a reverse black and white gradient filter. Bill "Lobby Lights" thumb_2135515.jpg

The rose has held all of its beauty and in fact still looks quite fabulous with all the shadowing. A super experiment.

I'm sure Miss Sciuto would approve. Negative image....Posative result, still a thing of beauty but with a harder edge.

Very, very cool exercise in image reversal in this superb display, Bill. Love the light/shadow effects. I like variations on the originals myself.

Quite true - as long as the postwork does not inert the fragrance! Clive

I agree ... something as perfectly formed as this rose will retain its beauty no matter what filters get thrown at it! You've achieved a striking and elegant result. Beautiful!

Nice one, Bill, and I agree - the perfection of nature's creations comes through regardless of color, or lack thereof. This very much reminds me of the results from shooting with infrared film - without the hassles of working with it. Beautiful, my friend!
