Description

Thanks for Giving I was not going to do a write-up about this post, and let the image do the talking; However, I felt there was more to say than just the art! In this World there are a multitude of children going hungry everyday, many to the point of death by starvation. After seeing a video done by "Convoy of Hope" I was touched seeing the conditions these children go through, and felt the urge to give. I went to several site that help feed the World to evaluate their Mission and History. What I found were comments that were worse than seeing the starving children. Comments that for some reason the person posting them felt were a justification for not giving. Such As: Why give, the Country's Government is corrupt, and have the moneys to help their own. Why give, The foundations that ask for help keep the moneys for themselves. Sure there is some truth to these statements, but the children do not know of such things; The children only know their stomachs are empty, and all they feel is the pain and anguish because of it. If you give, you are the ray of hope that will fill their bowls. If you find excuses to not give, remember Matthew 25:40; and best quoted by TallPockets: "How you treat the LEAST among US is ALSO how you treat ME". For me, I say, "The Love You Give, is equal to the Love you get!". I Pray you get some! very well said! I agree 100% with you, the children can't help the conditions they are in, the adults need to step it up, and take responsibility for the children that can't help themselves! I donate to "feed the children"! And yes, you can keep track of what you donate, and how it is used! check it out, and see for yourself! Thank you Dennis for sharing this! Beautiful image!

Dennis, this is one of those images that stops you in your tracks and pulls at your heart. You are so right about people needing to forget the excuses for not helping and remember who it's for. If you give I'm sure that God will find a way to see it gets to the kids and helps out.

You made your point here Dennis and it is a sad fact that there is so much corruption in these countries. Here's hoping that by directing our donations to Red Cross, or Medicin Frontier, as examples, we can by pass or at least minimise all this corruptness. Steve :o)

Powerful message my friend. I know we have all read stories or seen in the media about charities that are mismanaged and corrupt, such an incredibly sad situation. There are always those few in the bigger picture of so many that are really really there to help, that is what we have to remember and trust in. This reminds me of a man I saw today he was manning the Salvation Bell donation in front of the grocery store I shop at, as I walked up to him he was dancing and singing a Christmas tune, and he looked at me and smiled and said I know I am making a fool out of my self, and I said NO you are he giving people hope and most of all smiles at a time when to so many those small gestures can make such a big impact. I couldn't help but hum the song he had been singing as I did my grocery shopping and smile.

Just wonderful dear Dennis! For me, I say too, "The Love You Give, is equal to the Love you get!" Your written words "Why give, The foundations that ask for help keep the moneys for themselves" is another dark side of a lot "humans", but they are in my eyes even "worser" than an animal could be! I wish you a wonderful weekend, hug’s Ute

Impressive image Dennis. I totally agree with all you said. At the end of the day we will be judged on how much we loved! :) "To give and not to count the cost; To fight and not to heed the wounds; To toil and not to seek for rest; To labour and not ask for any reward Save that of knowing that we do Thy will." - St Ignatius Loyola
