Description

Thanks for Giving I was not going to do a write-up about this post, and let the image do the talking; However, I felt there was more to say than just the art! In this World there are a multitude of children going hungry everyday, many to the point of death by starvation. After seeing a video done by "Convoy of Hope" I was touched seeing the conditions these children go through, and felt the urge to give. I went to several site that help feed the World to evaluate their Mission and History. What I found were comments that were worse than seeing the starving children. Comments that for some reason the person posting them felt were a justification for not giving. Such As: Why give, the Country's Government is corrupt, and have the moneys to help their own. Why give, The foundations that ask for help keep the moneys for themselves. Sure there is some truth to these statements, but the children do not know of such things; The children only know their stomachs are empty, and all they feel is the pain and anguish because of it. If you give, you are the ray of hope that will fill their bowls. If you find excuses to not give, remember Matthew 25:40; and best quoted by TallPockets: "How you treat the LEAST among US is ALSO how you treat ME". For me, I say, "The Love You Give, is equal to the Love you get!". I Pray you get some! Well said and illustrated! True the govornments are corrupt, but all of the people of any nation has the ability to fix that problem. They just need to get the gumption to do so. One way it to show the powers that be (ones that we have elected or otherwise) what we expect from them. There is a time for even leaders to follow. If they still do not understand or get the hint, then mores the pity. At least as a human being and a child of God (whichever you follow), you will know you have done the right thing. Don't forget, those you serve in this life will serve you after (which is probably the reason things are so upside down in this world). I didn't mean to get preachy, but a great work of art does inspire others to talk about the subject. It even inspires others to do something about it. Much the same as teh parable of scattering seeds. An inspiring piece of art, my firend.

Thank you for this touching image and message. It is sad that this world is so out of balance, with some having so much and others having nothing. I give, but you have made me aware that I need to give more. CC

great job and thank you for sharing such a powerful message...as a person who works with children in trouble with the law, I feel that we do not do enough overall to invest in our children...our being the children of our communities...the children know when they are invisible...

Beautiful composition and feeling, Dennis. The world is rich... but all the money end up in the wrong hands. Most that have more than enough money..do not care about starving people. They only care to get the next million in the bank. Starving children can go to hell in their oppinion. The world has become ugly..and consumed by greed. But there are still people who care about others than themselves... I salute those people...+5

hunger is truly the most profound motivation for us all, it is disgusting that certain 'leaders' use it to control and dominate others for purely selfish reason... Stalin, Mao and many others throughout our history, have starved and killed millions (men women and children) by just withholding food from them. It still goes on today as we watch world events......

My friend the image and words are most powerful and moving! I can hear in those words your disbelief and sorrow of what others have said and what is happening in this world. I hope that it helps someone to see things in a different light and do something that can bring about change for someone else. Beautiful work!
