From innocence, the teens, man hood, the joy of parenthood, success, and to reap all of life's rewards with retiring and becoming a proud Grandfather; I feel truly blessed! Sure, there were many unwanted moments along the way, many of which, time has not erased. Some so devastating that I am amazed I have survived. But, only one wish I have made, and only one wish has been granted, "to be Happy"! Delusional and in denial, maybe; But, I'm glad I did not wish "to be Miserable"! :)
BIO
Someone told me I'm 57 (Now 62)Â and single. Really? I have always been a child at heart. So it is easy to see why I prefer Faeries! I did not need Peter Pan to convince me to "Never grow up!". Unfortunately, that's not the way our species. So on the exterior, I had to. But, deep within, my child remained. I prefer to be positive, supporting the soft, sweet, and gentle. I paint the world in that light. I'm not blind to the horrors of the world, and I stay sharp to the perils that confront us all. I simply do not allow that to alter how I view the world. I believe "Everything is beautiful", "Lead by example", "Love thy fellow Man", and possibly the greatest truth of all, "You can be what ever you desire, as long as you believe and pursue". I have always love the arts in all categories! I have palyed the guitar for over 45 years and have written over 100 songs. I am a minstrel and enjoy sharing my gift of song. I have dabbled in the visual arts since childhood. I won 2nd place in a High School Architectural State wide contest, and wanted to pursue that field, but somehow got sidetracked. The Sixties! During my middle thirties, I renewed my interests in the Arts and studied most of the Master Artists of oil painting, but struggled with its application. It was during my profession as Programmer Analyst, that I was exposed to CAD systems and its use in design, and found the Media right for me. I started with TrueSpace and CorelDraw starting in the early 90's, but it was not until I retired that I was able to give Art the attention it requires! I truly enjoy Poser and Vue and started to work with these tools in earnest in 2002. But I owe my biggest inspiration and push to Renderosity and all the Artists herein, regardless of their skill levels and talents. This community provides a place for expression and a shared interest > The Love of Art! Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. I hope you enjoy my images. Hugs, Dennis :)

very well said! I agree 100% with you, the children can't help the conditions they are in, the adults need to step it up, and take responsibility for the children that can't help themselves! I donate to "feed the children"! And yes, you can keep track of what you donate, and how it is used! check it out, and see for yourself! Thank you Dennis for sharing this! Beautiful image!

Beautiful Message and Image!!

Dennis, this is one of those images that stops you in your tracks and pulls at your heart. You are so right about people needing to forget the excuses for not helping and remember who it's for. If you give I'm sure that God will find a way to see it gets to the kids and helps out.

You made your point here Dennis and it is a sad fact that there is so much corruption in these countries. Here's hoping that by directing our donations to Red Cross, or Medicin Frontier, as examples, we can by pass or at least minimise all this corruptness. Steve :o)

Powerful message my friend. I know we have all read stories or seen in the media about charities that are mismanaged and corrupt, such an incredibly sad situation. There are always those few in the bigger picture of so many that are really really there to help, that is what we have to remember and trust in. This reminds me of a man I saw today he was manning the Salvation Bell donation in front of the grocery store I shop at, as I walked up to him he was dancing and singing a Christmas tune, and he looked at me and smiled and said I know I am making a fool out of my self, and I said NO you are he giving people hope and most of all smiles at a time when to so many those small gestures can make such a big impact. I couldn't help but hum the song he had been singing as I did my grocery shopping and smile.

Just wonderful dear Dennis! For me, I say too, "The Love You Give, is equal to the Love you get!" Your written words "Why give, The foundations that ask for help keep the moneys for themselves" is another dark side of a lot "humans", but they are in my eyes even "worser" than an animal could be! I wish you a wonderful weekend, hug’s Ute

Impressive image Dennis. I totally agree with all you said. At the end of the day we will be judged on how much we loved! :) "To give and not to count the cost; To fight and not to heed the wounds; To toil and not to seek for rest; To labour and not ask for any reward Save that of knowing that we do Thy will." - St Ignatius Loyola
