Description
The last couple month's have been difficult and finding the inspiration to post, just hasn't been there. I did not think that my absence here would be taken note of, but the kind thought's and warm welcome's back have shown me otherwise, thank you. The next couple month's I expect to be just as difficult, but as the title of this post state's, the show must go on!
We took in a stray cat the beginning of September. She's a beautiful Ocicat, that showed up on our back patio all skin and bones. At that time in her current condition there was no way to know she was pregnant. Her ravenous appetite and growing belly soon gave that away and the last week of September she had her kittens. In light of all that, we named the Mama cat "Lucky".
Today is the day I have been waiting for, Lucky gets spayed. So I hope, it has been difficult weaning the kittens from her. Lucky insists on nursing though she should be trying to wean the kittens long ago herself and my kids are not helping in keeping the isolation that has been implemented. I should explain for those that may not be aware that Mother's milk is to be dried up before she can be spayed. I guess we'll find out this morning. :~)
Here we have the kittens, all need to find homes so if anyone living in the central valley here in California would like a cute cuddly companion, I'd be happy to play the cartoon role of the stork and deliver to your doorstep...lol

We just adopted two kitties from a local(Northwest Indiana) place known as,"Independent Cat Society" It was just cats and that was much different from the humane society where it was crazy and loud and sad. Look specifically for places with only cats that might be able to help find the right home(s) for those adorable cuties.
