Description

It has been a little cold this season, even for the valley herein California. Being a desert rat at heart thought s warm summer image in order. This was a stop about 45 minutes before sunset, located in the Mojave Scenic Preserve along Interstate 15. I always stop in this area when traveling through for I've always found the Joshua trees most intriguing. Thank you for your continued support!

all i know about deserts and the states in general is from books and tv and the bits i can see as in here. we intend to visit las vegas next year (25th wedding anniv) and to us the us of a will be alien terrain as we grew up and where educated in europe.but we look forward to that in june 2011-. gave me a good feeling this shot.5++.

Gorgeous photography of an area I once knew very well. I spent at least a month in 1963 in the desert here...commanding 17 tanks on a huge military exercise. A few years later legislation was passed to preclude all kinds of vehicles from grinding up and pulverizing the desert.
