Description

We drove into Port Townsend and immediately headed for the Water Street Ale House located in the N.D. Hill building, a wonderful old structure from the 1880s. The story has a tragic ending, however. The place was closed. I did get a decent picture though.

From what I was able to gather, they were evicted by the landlord...bummer Great capture though, Mark!

When we went to Fort Worden in April, we only grazed the edge of Port Townsend. Not enough time, and driving a motorhome ... made visiting there a bit problematic. You make me want to do a day trip and re-visit this wonderful town!

The house is beautiful. It radiates a certain elegance out by its high rooms and the red color. It harms that there is no more beer down.

To say the least you have immortalised it here forever, in your file and in your memory - how can one forget it then ? An absolute classic building and winner in my books, Mark BB
