I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

I always used calendar pages ... also a big hit! They're just the right size for wrapping CDs, DVDs, VCR tapes (back in the day), books ... you get the idea. I LOVE your idea of designing and printing your own! Very cool. This one is great. I love the soft look ... it's like flannel!

OK, Mike, we must be on the same cosmic plane today.... I was just thinking about using my HP wide format inkjet for the same thing - making wrapping paper! I don't know if it's any cheaper givin the price of ink cartridges, but it's certainly a lot more personal. I've had family members do the same thing - save the paper! LOL! I really like this design - that would make a killer mat for clothing as well! What would I like to see my gifts wrapped in? Hmmm.... little pictures of Ben Franklin, maybe! LOL!

It's nice that your family appreciates your efforts. I enjoy seeing what you come up with each year, too.

Fabulous flannel paper - but how do you manage to wrap your standing stones...? :o) Excellent!

A gift is always more personal when it is chosen carefully and then wrapped in something appropriate. Mass produced wrapping paper is about as metaphorically-appealing as a ziploc bag: personalized wrapping as you show here, is as much a gift as the thing it wraps, and that's what I really like about the whole concept of what you've done...what you do. It's very...aware, and it lives up to the most complex of Buddhist values. I love that kinda stuff. And on top of all of that, it's pretty frakkin' awesome that you do this. I love the design and there's a part of me that thinks this would make an excellent desktop pattern as well...or something that could be incorporated into renders of photomanipulations in which computer display screens might exist within focus. That's what makes this exciting for me as well...it's potential for so many different things (whether those things are pursued or not.) This is an excellent piece of work, and a fantastic addition to your gallery.
