Description

Following "Humanity's First Interstellar War" there was an increased interest in the possibilities of terraforming some planets. While explorers found plenty of life, the habitats weren't exactly comfortable for humans to live in, so research intensified in methods for making colonies more friendly to fragile humans. This led to research outposts orbiting a surprising range of worlds. Here a lonely outpost orbits a Mars-like desert world as they seek to determine if it could be terraformed, and what would be necessary to do the job. ---------- I didn't have alot of time to try something totally new, so I pulled together components I'd created before in a new configuration. Thanks for taking a look, and have a great weekend!

This is really top-drawer stuff, and I love the way that all of it fits together. Your planet textures and your orbital structures (and vessels) are always amazing and this is no exception. It's even better as I've got YouTube open and I'm listening to music from Battlestar Galactica...not surprising: I always listen to Bear McCreary music while I'm in front of the computer. Anyway, what a station. I love the 4-arm design and those broad-flat solar panel assemblies. this is something well designed, and by its general configuration, something quite sturdy as well. This is superb work and I'd love to see further explorations of this universe. Great stuff.

One of your most beautiful creation, the station is huge but detailed, and the planet has a great surface. I really like it.

HOLY ........ !!!!! Mike, every time I see one of your works, it amazes me more and more. This kicks some serious behind! Just look at the structural elements - this is beyond superb! It's fantastic, and yet this looks like something that could be done with today's technology. Does NASA know about you?? Wow! And the planet ... Amazing! Looks like something sent back by a deep space probe. Fantastic work, my friend! Keep 'em coming!
