UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

My shots of this lantern are so dull ... you've captured color I didn't even notice! An excellent image, beautifully done. LOVE the postwork!

Lantern? Must be the circular stone in the middle. Very original work of art! And nice photo of it - the 2/4 view really brings this out. My monitor is crackling and making pistol shot-like noise with intermittant image distortion. I spent 2 hours fixing a cracked transformer soldering this afternoon which was sputtering and sparking (have done this every 4 years since 1997), but it seems to be another problem, too, this time. Seems I'll have to get a new monitor. Sigh. But I've had this monitor since 1992!

Great image and lovely colours Bill.

Such a beautifully captured and well lit image! I find these structures fascinating, the way they stand so locked and graceful; as though faithful to each other! Down at the beaches in Toronto, summer time usually brings these types of creators to the sands. It’s truly something else to watch! This one in particular is sensational! So big and perfectly layered!

I can imagine it with a candle lit at dusk... A wonderful garden feature, Clive

Hmmmm, I'd like to think that's free standing.(British Health & Safety would insist on a 4" diameter rod right through the middle :( Love the way you've caught the light hitting this, brings out the rough texture. One of those tactile pieces you want to run your hand over.
