Oh, I LOVE this!! I love reflection shots in general and this is first rate. I especially like the fact that you have to look closely to see where the puddle ends and the street/yard? begins. It's almost like a portal into another world. Way cool shot!

I love reflection shots where you see way more in the reflection than you do of the original object. Excellent work!

Honestly I had to look very close to see the reflection entirely. A cool shot Kate. I like your winterscene.

I love any excursion into "mirror world" that I can get...reflections are always so rich and so full of fantastic potential. I love the idea of looking down and seeing the sky, looking ahead and seeing what's behind you...looking at the world from a slightly different perspective. I also love the idea that you're NOT seeing what you think you see, and that there are times in life when that sort of "deception" is totally okay. In terms of this picture, I think that the reflection of what's there is far more intriguing, challenging, and fulfilling than the thing itself, so to speak. The house, the tree, the sign, even the grass and concrete (asphalt?) are thrown into a topsy-turvy context in which I have to actually stop and think about what I'm seeing; I have to question the reality on my computer screen and consciously identify the way in which I interact with that reality. For me, that is the essence of fun--it's the absence of boundaries, the absence of pre-established rules that have nothing to do with anything, and it's total freedom to see the world and play in it. This photo is pure play, it's pure beauty, it's the world, not as it is, but as it could be. Yeah, I like this!

oh, a splendid & magical capture of reflection, lines, skewed lines, fracture lines, real concrete and interruptions by water/ice, and all that ambiguity that reflections bring. Just splendid, Kate, cut through by planes, ice forms, trees & stone, etc; and with a bluish-gray tint that holds it together in an almost nostalgic whole. Splendid that you didn't explain it, too, because it is what it is. Beautiful work. I'll be back for more, I'm trying to get to everyone at least once in my return, but you're doing really fine work. And enjoy your trip to Florida in a few weeks! And thanks so much for your constant kindness & support in my gallery. It's much appreciated, believe me.

Excellent reflection! One of the best reflections in a puddle that I have seen. I love the tree and the dormer window. Superb composition, detail, and colors. It has all the magic of reflected worlds. Beautiful image!
