Welcome to my homepage!
I am new to this whole homepage / website thing. I love photography but am a novice with that too! My brother and friend post on here regularly and I was curious so got on and really like what I see so I figured I would give it a try.
I really enjoy nature photography especially macrophotography. I usually use a 35 mm camera using slide or print film but have switched into the digital because it's great for the environment and it its much more flexible. The most beautiful things in life to me are the most simple and often overlooked.
I have always been the black sheep (non-artist) in a family of very talented artists. I would love to connect with other folks who are interested in nature photography.Â
Peace, KateÂ

Hi Kate...this is a very nice image. It would make a very good background for a suitable render

Beautiful sunset, Kate. The receding towers really add depth. We have palm trees in FL too, but this definitely is not a Florida scene.

A very familiar scene--and so glad you got to our great state!

I love the perspective ... towers and lines fading into the distance ... into the sunset. When I was a kid, I'd sit in the car and follow the arc of power lines with my eye for miles. Now a faster tempo, now slower, picking up a new batch if we turned a corner and went off the line I'd been following. Amazing the things an image can bring back. Thanks for this!

What a view. It looks so different than this flat stuff we get in the Midwest, the deep interior of the country. I really like the colors and the intensity of the light and shadow contrasts. The shapes of power line supports is really amazing: nice repetition and sens of geometry...and I'll bet the drumming was quite amazing, awesome, and moving...there's nothin' better than a good bit of drumming, especially in circles of people in touch with all of that sweaty, primal stuff. Nice work here. I like it a lot!

Beautiful lines and colors! Great composition with the two distant towers showing clearly between the large near ones, and the long line on the other side. Excellent capture!

This is great! I can feel what it must have been like.Love the composition, the colors and all of it. Reminds me a bit of that road trip the family took out to Arizona in 1979. That great feel of the open road and exploring somewhere new. Now my brain has started playing "Hotel California"....

That's California for sure. Palms and powerlines galore. Dana

That is a gorgeous sunset. The hydro towers look like a grim army of giants dutifully marching to some dark fate of which the strange fleshy parasites infesting those poor, little quadro-cycles could not even comprehend.
